Releasing Unproductive Thoughts
I often tell my students that “stress” is 90% self induced. You may wonder how can that be? But it’s true. When you become aware of your thoughts, especially the unproductive ones, you can change them to be productive and useful.
This may take some time to “catch” these unproductive thoughts because it’s a new skill – one that is incredibly life changing, and one that will relieve “mental” stress in your life.
Yet, it takes practice …
Many pregnant women worry about the day they will go into labor to birth their baby. It’s not so much the birth itself but the focus and worry about “labor pain”. Sometimes the worry can be overwhelming and lead to increased anxiety and the inability to calm down about this anticipated event.
But if you read what I share with you about stress and its impact on the physiology of birth, you’ll know stress and anxiety has the potential to slow or stop labor. Simply because, your body mirrors your emotional state.
Below is a video you can watch as many times as you need to, to learn a skill to release unproductive thinking. At the same time you’ll become very relaxed and anxiety free…
You’ll need to practice daily and overcome the following …
- boredom in sitting still for a while
- restlessness – wanting to go do something else
- thinking about everything else, except the exercise
Now. Listen and practice.
