Life And Expectations

calmI know. It’s been a while. And here’s why …

Life threw me a major curve ball a few weeks ago which upset my world tremendously. I can’t write about to much because it will be on the internet and the ending of the story is not finished.

But in one sentence, my husband was hit by a car while walking to his parked car. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance … and so began the story which is still going on.. Heartbroken and angry … I’m hoping all turns out well.

So, you just never know …. there’s no way of telling what the morning, afternoon, or evening will bring. The only real moment is right now, as I write this. That is something you CAN be sure of …

So when it comes to expecting the birth of your baby, you can’t rush it, you can make the best plans but there’s no guarantee of your labor’s outcome (there’s no reason to think the worst either).

The only thing you CAN count on is the moment and the moments you’ll move through.

I have to tell you, my meditation practice made it easier to deal with the crisis I experienced with my husband.

Instead of being overly emotional and reacting out of fear, I was able to respond to what happened in a more clear-headed way.

So can you. Learn meditation. Practice it daily. Let go of what you can’t control and focus on what you can.

Your baby’s birth will be amazing if you allow it to be, if you allow it to unfold in it’s own way ….

Hug your man tonight and everyday..

Much love,

Lesly :-)

  1. Hi Lesly what a lovely and moving post.

I am so pleased to be your friend and you have been an amazing woman the last week or so.

I agree that we only have now and shouldn’t take it forgranted.

I hope and pray that your husband gets better soon.
