Well now, if you made it this far, CONGRATULATIONS!

You have reached the end of this free online childbirth class. It’s been an honor to share this information with you!

As you discovered you’re not only giving birth to a baby, but also to a whole new way of life. You bring to it all your life experiences, a lot of personal feelings and attitudes that can affect your parenting behaviors.

What you and your partner experience together as a couple will now change as parents. How you integrate your pregnancy with birth, and post partum experience into your lives will influence your new roles as parents, with each other, and with that new little person.

There are many parenting resources available to you.  The internet has a million places for parents, for new mothers and fathers to chat and share ideas and experiences with. Just do a search and you’ll find them. There are others listed in your book.

If you’ve gained anything from this online childbirth classsite, I hope it is this:  Childbirth is a totally personal experience. It is YOUR experience and yours alone. No matter what your friends and family tell you about it or advice they give.  You will remeber the birth of your baby and how you felt for years to come.

There is no way to control labor’s physiological process.  However, you can control how you chose to respond to it emotionally and physically.  Knowing this it opens opportunities for YOU and YOUR PARTNER to embrace the experience for what it is – a natural, normal life event and to do what YOU can to encompass it comfortably, emotionally, physically,  and confidently in your own way. You’ll be prepared because you educated yourself about it and practiced the skills to help you cope with it.

It doesn’t matter if you choose to birth in a hospital, or at home with a midwife.  What matters is it’s YOUR birth experience, YOUR emotions, YOUR decisions, YOUR life, and YOUR ability to cope with all of it, and YOUR feelings of an incredible achievement!

You, as a single mom or not, will nurture throughout your life REGARDLESS of the type of birthing experience you have your little one.  Great books to focus on now  are child development, parenting techniques, using sign language to communicate with your toddler (those years come up fast).

Actually you began parenting when you got pregnant! Childbirth prepared you even more through the decisions you made to manage it. Becoming a parent is challenging and full of anxieites, but it will also give you and your partner moments of incredible joy over and over again starting from the very day you discovered you were pregnant, through the rest of your lives.

All the things you have read here at Leslynotes.com, skills learned,  and I hope – practiced,  and attitudes embraced have prepared you for the birth of your baby.

Love, emotional support, positive words of encouragement, and trust in your own abilities to give birth will enhance your confidence as well as your ability to accept the birthing process. It is an awesome experience.  Birth  and everything that comes with it, (the contractions, dilation, discomfort, emotional challenges, etc.) is not your enemy.

It is your innate nature with a built-in physiological “blueprint”  to birth your baby in your own way. Your way is the only right way.

I hope with all my heart this childbirth class was helpful in preparing you for the birth of your baby. If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know – leave a comment below.

Thank you for visiting Leslynotes.com. Wishing you and your family the best now and in all the days to come!  In celebration,

Birth bold,

Lesly 🙂
