If you choose a hospital birth it is advised you are made aware of all the medical interventions that may or may not occur during the birth of your baby. This is not an isolated suggestion relating only to childbirth, for all medical procedures that are done
in a hospital are explained beforehand including benefits and side effects. However, the major difference is this: You are not ill! You are having a baby, and you have chosen the hospital to have your baby. Therefore, you need to be aware of what the medical procedures are so that you may make educated decisions to accept, compromise, or refuse them.
Whatever you choose, your pregnancy and birth can be humerous, serious, exhilarating, and a challenging experience, as well as absolutely amazing! It is as unique as you, and because of that uniqueness, the delivery of your baby will be unlike anyone elses.
